This diverse and complicated area is made up of portions of five states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. It includes part of the Atlanta metropolitan area.
FSC-US Controlled Wood Regional Meeting
The Controlled Wood Regional Meeting addressing the Appalachian Region was held in Asheville, NC on July 19, 2018.
Six Specified Risk subjects are identified in the Southern Appalachian Region. They include a widely distributed habitat type, two large Critical Biodiversity Area, two endangered species, and Conversion. All are listed below, with links to detailed pages for each:
